Chloë Rogiers, MA European Studies on Society, Science and Technology

Hello, my name is Chloë and I’m a student from Belgium. Before I came to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS), I studied Biochemistry & Biotechnology in Ghent and worked in a Covid-lab

At the moment, I’m studying the master European Studies on Society, Science and Technology (ESST) – quite a different field from what I was used to! What I especially like about the ESST program, is the interdisciplinary approach to study topics related to science and technology. It challenges my way of thinking and broadens my knowledge. Even though I’m finishing the specialisation of the ESST program abroad at the moment, I definitely enjoyed my first semester in Maastricht. You could often find me at Muziekgieterij attending a concert or at Lumière to watch a movie. Having a beer with my fellow students or a coffee at the many nice coffee places in the city were also some of my favorite activities. Moreover, it is a pleasure to be a part of FASoS. I have always felt very welcomed at the faculty. I especially like the atmosphere on campus and Banditos, of course!
