Are you curious about how taxes affect households and businesses? Ever wondered how the government can regulate oil prices or alcohol consumption through taxation? Are you interested in perspectives on taxation both from economics and from law? Fiscal Economics covers all of these things. In this programme, you’ll use economics, accountancy, management and law to analyse the effects of taxes on national and international economies. Working in small groups, you’ll examine up-to-date, real-life problems and come up with practical solutions.
The programme will give you all the preparation you need to pursue a master’s degree in Fiscal Economics, Financial Economics, International Business (specialisation Accountancy or Controlling) and related fields. But you could also launch your career and make your mark on the workforce. Your independence, confidence and critical thinking skills will be a great asset in a career as a tax advisor, tax consultant or tax inspector. And with the ongoing shortage in fiscal economists, your career perspectives will be excellent.
