Documentary about the influential left-wing intellectual Stuart Hall, one of the founding fathers of Cultural Studies. His work was a major influence on artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien. The film will be introduced by Eliza Steinbock, Professor of Transgender Studies, Art and Cultural Activism at Maastricht University.

In deze reeks gaat het over hormonen. Er wordt onder andere gekeken naar groei en ontwikkeling, geslachtshormonen, stress en gedrag en bijvoorbeeld hormoontherapie. Elke avond begint met een college van een expert. De colleges worden zowel live als online aangeboden.

De Keti Koti dialoogtafel is een bijeenkomst waarbij tijdens een rituele maaltijd stil gestaan wordt bij de hedendaagse gevolgen van het Nederlands slavernijverleden.
De dialoogtafel brengt mensen met uiteenlopende achtergronden bij elkaar en in gesprek: bekenden en onbekenden, mensen van verscheidene generaties en culturen uit verschillende gemeenschappen.

Our guest is a human rights defender who works on capacity building of human rights organisations in their country, promotion of civic and political rights, and protection of civic space. In doing so, they face a lot of obstacles in their work, from discriminatory laws and surveillance. During the lecture, our guest discusses the history of their country and tells how democracy came under pressure. They also talk about what their work as a human rights defender is like.
