Xiaoli Xu (X.)

Xiaoli is a PhD candidate in the International and European Law Department and Institute for Transnational Legal Research (METRO). She holds an LLB degree in General Law (Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, China, 2013-2017) and an LLM degree in Environmental Law (Xiamen University, China, 2017-2020).

Her Ph.D. research, under the supervision of Prof. Marjan Peeters and Prof. Ellen Vos, concerns the role of the courts in the field of climate change in china. This is a comparative legal study drawing inspiration from climate litigation developments in other jurisdictions.
