Yf Reykers (Y.)

Yf Reykers is Assistent Professor in International Relations (tenured) aan de Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences van de Universiteit Maastricht. Voordien was hij postdoctoraal onderzoeker aan het Leuven International and European Studies instituut (KU Leuven), waar hij ook zijn doctoraat behaalde in 2017. Hij was een gastonderzoeker aan Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (European University Institute), het Center on International Cooperation (New York University) en aan Aarhus University.

Yf is eveneens Co-Editor van het tijdschrift Contemporary Security Policy en co-Principal Investigator van het project “Ad hoc crisis response and international organisations (ADHOCISM)”, gefinancierd door de Research Council of Norway (2021-2025). 

Zijn onderzoek situeert zich in het veld van Europees defensiebeleid en internationale organisaties in vrede en veiligheid. Yf focust momenteel vooral op vraagstukken omtrent de snelle responscapaciteit van internationale organisaties, en de Europese Unie in het bijzonder. Zijn werk werd o.a. gepubliceerd in tijdschriften als Cooperation and Conflict, Contemporary Security Policy, European Security, International Affairs, International Peacekeeping, Journal of European Integration, Parliamentary Affairs en Third World Quarterly. Hij is co-editor van het boek ‘Multinational Rapid Response Mechanisms: From Institutional Proliferation to Institutional Exploitation’ (2019, Routledge Global Institutions Series).
