Haiyang Yu (H.)

Haiyang Yu is a Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Law, Maastricht University. He is a member of the Ius Commune Research School and a Ph.D. representative for UM at the Research School.

Haiyang graduated with a Master of Laws degree (LL.M. in Commercial Law) from Erasmus University Rotterdam, specializing in Maritime & Transport Law (Class 2017). He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) from East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPL, Shanghai) in 2016. He has been invited to give lectures and presentations at international conferences organized by universities, law associations, and law firms in various cities and countries, including Bologna, London, Shanghai, Brazil (online), etc.

He holds the National Legal Professional Qualification of P.R.China. He is a member of several professional associations, including the China Maritime Law Association (CMLA) and the Dutch Transport Law Association (NVV). Since 2017 he is a member of the China-Europe Commercial Collaboration Association (CECCA).
