Digital Feedback Instrument
Subsidised by Sofokles, Dutch universities have developed the Digital Feedback Instrument (DiFI). DiFI is an online feedback instrument based on the competencies of the Competency Instrument of the Dutch universities (CINU).
To ensure that you are using the instrument properly, it is advised that you carefully read the user’s instructions, which you can find on the VSNU website. Information about logging in you find on the page UFO.
DiFI gives you insight into your competencies. As this is a feedback instrument, it is possible to ask other people for feedback on your competencies and to discuss these with you. You can use the information derived from these meetings when you are researching your personal development needs and options, but also when you are planning and giving direction to your career.
After receiving this feedback, you might want to discuss it. If you do, you can set up a meeting with the Staff Career Counselling Services or with your HR adviser or line manager. You can also contact them if you have other questions about this instrument.
This questionnaire can be filled in by the employee him/herself and by colleagues, clients and/or line managers. After the questionnaire has been filled in, a report will automatically be generated and a full report will be sent to your inbox. You can then send this to someone with whom you would like to discuss it.
The feedback can be used in preparation for personal and career development meetings. The instrument is explicitly intended to support the development of employees and is not an evaluation or selection tool.
