Maastricht University employees can face disciplinary measures if found guilty of neglect of duty. This may include breaching a regulation or acting/failing to act in line with what could reasonably be expected of a good employee under similar circumstances (Art. 6:12 of the CAO-NU).
In addition to Article 6:12, Maastricht University has established an extra internal regulation which sets out what the measures are and how they are imposed. These measures can range from a written warning to dismissal; they can also be imposed conditionally.
