When she is not working on her PhD, Sarah is putting all her love and energy into the Maastricht community of Girl Gone International, which she founded and led for three years. GGI is a fast growing global organisation and community, named the largest women's online meets offline community in the world by Facebook in 2018, 2019 and 2020. She is a Facebook Certified Community Manager.

Sarah also has a certification in diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
