Anatomy and Embryology
The FHML Department Anatomy and Embryology (A&E) of Maastricht University cooperates with the FHML Research Schools CAPHRI and NUTRIM. A&E supplies teaching in anatomy, embryology and histology (using virtual microscopy) for students of the health sciences, medicine, biomedical sciences and for students from other studies in which the human body takes a central position.
In addition, several clinical anatomy-related and basal research questions are investigated, often in collaboration with clinical departments.
Both for teaching and research, the department of Anatomy and Embryology relies on the donation of bodies. People can donate their body by signing a codicil. Information concerning the registration can be found under the header Donation.
