Dr Pouya Samani (P.)
Pouya Samani is a postdoctoral researcher on sustainability of bio-based materials at the Aachen-Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials (AMIBM), Maastricht University. He investigates the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of additive materials such as plasticizers, flame retardants, colorants and nucleating agents within the BB100 project, an interinstitutional project toward development of fully bio-based man-made fibre materials.
Pouya has done his PhD on "Sustainable prefabricated composite housing" under the framework of MIT Portugal program (University of Porto, Massachusetts Institute of Technology-MIT) and holds a master degree in Mechanical Engineering (Chalmers University of Technology, Polytechnic University of Catalunya-UPC).

Professional career history
Pouya has led and been involved in a number of international industrial and R&D projects. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI) and as a researcher at Chalmers University of Technology.
