Vikas Jaiman (V.)
Vikas Jaiman is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Data Science (IDS) at Maastricht University, The Netherlands since November 2019. He is currently working in the areas of distributed systems, eHealth, and blockchain. Specifically, on sharing health records using blockchain solutions with the help of smart contracts.
Vikas received his Ph.D. degree in April 2019 from the University Grenoble Alpes, France under the supervision of Prof. Vivien Quéma and Dr. Sonia Ben Mokhtar. He was also a member of the Grenoble Informatics Laboratory (LIG) during his Ph.D. He was a research assistant at ICTEAM, University catholique de Louvain, Belgium from April 2018 to December 2018 where he was working with Prof. Etienne Riviere. During his Ph.D., he was working on distributed systems particularly focus on the performance of key-value stores. Prior, he was employed at The ICFAI University, Jaipur, India as a faculty member from Aug 2013 to Mar 2014.
He has been a member of the ACM European Conference on Computer Systems (EuroSys) shadow program committee 2018 and Tutorials Chair of the European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC) 2018. He is a recipient of “Best paper award" for his work at DAIS conference 2020.
