Ana Dos Santos Silva (A.I.S.)
Ana Silva is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Psychiatry and Neuropsychology. Her research focuses on studying mechanisms through which genetic variants affect the brain. Her main focus is on high-risk variants that confer risk for schizophrenia and autism. She is particularly interested in combining human neuroimaging with bioinformatics and animal models.

Professional career history
Ana earned her BSc and MSc in biomedical engineering from the University of Lisbon in Portugal. In 2015, she started a PhD at Cardiff University, UK, which was awarded in 2020. Since then, she has been working as a postdoc researcher at Maastricht University.
