The BSc thesis will start with an opening session in the first week of the semester. This opening session provides general guidelines for the thesis and procedures. Furthermore, a lecture is organized to inform you about databases available at the university and the referencing program Endnote. During the semester you have frequently contact with your assigned supervisor. The topic for the bachelor thesis is custom made and determined together with the supervisor. At the end of period 2 and in period 6 students will participate in the marble symposium.
The BSc thesis is an individual assignment and serves as a concluding assignment of your Bachelor study. The aim of the BSc Thesis is to demonstrate your mastery of domain of study in an assignment that integrates your acquired knowledge and skills. The BSc thesis is an essay of 4500-5000 words (excl. appendices) based on scientific articles and your research.
Each department has formulated obligatory courses for the marble project, which fall into the regular major/specialization, see marble- sbe.info. Furthermore, students have to attend the marble research course (ebc2152) as far as this is possible in the program. This course supports you in your thesis writing, developing general research skills and critical thinking. Teaching methods: meetings with supervisor, presentations
