Since March 2013, Laura Kurth is working as a PhD researcher at ICIS. Her research focuses on the role of moderates in policy making for the integration of Muslims in Dutch society.Until now, Laura has published two scientific articles regarding the debate about non-stunned ritual slaughter in Dutch politics and regarding halal certification in the Netherlands.
Laura was one of the first ten students that successfully graduated from the MSc Sustainability Science and Policy at ICIS in 2012. Furthermore she holds a BSc in International Development Studies from Wageningen University with a major in Communication, Technology and Policy. She took part in an Erasmus exchange to Collegium Civitas in Warsaw, Poland, where she studied “International Relations” for one semester.
