Jinhee Kim (J.)
Jinhee Kim started her PhD at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, in September 2012. Her PhD research focuses on de facto influence of EU agencies on European policy-making. She aims at analyzing conditions under which EU agencies influence policy decisions at the European level. Moreover, her research investigates how EU agencies interact with other policy actors when organizing and disseminating scientific information and expertise.
She holds an MA degree in International Relations from Korea University and American University in Washington D.C. She graduated cum laude with a Master of Science in Research Master European Studies at Maastricht University. Her Master thesis, entitled European Agencies in Technocratic Governance: Influence of agencies on policy-making, was awarded the Best Master Thesis Award by the Montesquieu Institute. Before coming to the Netherlands, she worked as Legislative Researcher for the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Washington D.C.
