Jordi Kleinloog (J.P.D.)
Jordi Kleinloog is member of the Physiology of Human Nutrition (PHuN) research group at the Department of Nutrition and Movement Sciences.
His PhD research focuses on the effect of a healthy lifestyle – consisting of a healthy diet combined with increased physical activity levels – on cerebral blood flow and the relation with cognitive impairment. Cerebral blood flow is a useful biomarker for tracking severity and progression of cognitive impairment and dementia. Furthermore, he aims to link impaired glucose metabolism with cerebral blood flow and cognitive impairment. Additionally, he will investigate the effect of a healthy lifestyle on other cardiovascular health variables, such as endothelial function and arterial stiffness.
