Drs J.T. Franssen
Jos works for the University Library since 1988, first recruited for the content disclosure of the philosophical/scientific part of the Jesuit collection. In the years following, he has been involved in many projects most of them related to what was then called ‘library instruction’, and nowadays ‘information literacy’. As former member and coordinator of the Skills & Academic Support team, Jos initiated, developed, and taught many courses for bachelor and master students.
Currently, being a member of the Research Support & Development team at the University Library, the early career researchers are the main target audience for his teachings and courses on academic and societal research impact, such as journal choice, strategies and tools to increase and measure research impact.
Jos is also a member of the Research Intelligence team involved with research evaluations - with a focus on responsible metrics - supporting researchers and policy officers in demonstrating impact for annual reports, audits and funding applications.
