E.A.H. Ghaleb, Ph.D.
I completed my bachelor degree in the Department of Computer Engineering (Istanbul Technical University) in 2013. I continued my master education in the same department where in 2015 I received a master’s degree specialized in Computer Vision and Machine Learning. In my master thesis, I studied the aging effect on face recognition utilizing Harry Potter movies. During my master study, I had worked as a research assistant at the laboratory of Smart Interaction, Mobile Intelligence, and Multimedia Technologies (SiMiT) Research Group (Istanbul Technical University), for the CAMOMILE EU project (Collaborative Annotation of multi-MOdal, multI-Lingual and multi-mEdia documents). I was an intern at CVHCI (Computer Vision for Human-Computer Interaction) laboratory (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) during the summers of 2014 and 2015.
Currently (since March 2016), I am pursuing a PhD in RAI group at Maastricht University under the supervision of Prof. Stelios (Stylianos) Asteriadis, on the topic of emotion recognition and video data Analysis. My research interests include: computer vision, machine learning, and human emotion recognition.
