Epidemiology is absolutely fundamental for maintaining and improving public health. It is a fascinating field that utilises statistics, tracking methods and problem solving to study the origin and causes of diseases, and the effect of clinical interventions in a community. In the master's programme in Epidemiology you will study epidemiology in all of its different facets: calculating disease trends and probabilities, communicating findings to the public and policy makers, and designing and implementing interventions based on data. On completion of this master's, you are eligible for registration as a certified Epidemiologist A (Dutch registration system).

Because it’s such a broad subject, the programme has been divided into a series of specialisations, meaning that you can focus on your own interests and ambitions. Though each specialisation is unique, they all focus on business in an international environment through the extensive use of case studies, real-life business problems, skills trainings and a master’s thesis.

The pre-master's programme for International Business is a transfer programme for students of Universities of Applied Sciences who wish to obtain a university master's degree in International Business.

In the International Laws programme, you’ll combine courses from our Globalisation and Law and European Law School programmes with training in two foreign languages. You’ll have the opportunity to personalise your degree and specialise in a topic that fits your interests and ambitions.  After you graduate, you’ll be able to place various legal systems and principles in the context of European integration and globalisation.

Learning and Development in Organisations (formerly named Management of Learning) is a multidisciplinary programme that combines elements from economics, business, human resource management and learning sciences. The programme will introduce you to the key concepts of learning and development in the workplace. You’ll gain a solid understanding of the knowledge challenges facing today’s businesses and you’ll learn how to find innovative and effective solutions.

The pre-master's programme for Learning and Development in Organisations programme is a transfer programme for students of Universities of Applied Sciences who wish to obtain a university master's degree in Learning and Development in Organisations.

In the master’s programme in Medicine, you’ll receive an extensive introduction to the practice of healthcare. As an intern, you’ll work in hospitals and clinics and will perform preparatory scientific research. After the master’s you will be a medical doctor (MD) and you'll be ble to specialise in, for example, in surgery or paediatrics. You can also pursue a career in scientific research.

The master’s programme in Public Policy and Human Development emphasises the connection between public policy and decision-making processes, or in other words, the effectiveness and efficiency of governance. You will be equipped with a variety of skills, tools and knowledge which will qualify you to work as a policy designer or policy analyst within public and private institutions at local, national and international levels. This programme is offered as a double degree in collaboration with United Nations University.

The Sustainability Science, Policy and Society programme deals with one of the world’s most relevant and complex issues: how to balance ecological, economic and social developments. You’ll study different factors that affect sustainability, such as global dynamics, policy, governance and law. You will also take skills trainings that focus on topics like scientific writing and giving presentations.

As a tax specialist, you will deal with a broad range of questions regarding business taxes and personal taxes. Those questions don’t respect borders: European borders are fading and businesses and people can move freely. The master’s programme has three specialisations: direct taxation, indirect taxation and tax and technology.
