  • Management of Learning has been a 'Top Rated Programme' for seven consecutive years

    The Master’s in Management of Learning has been given a Top Rated Programme (Topopleiding) award by Keuzegids Masters for 2018. This is not the first time that Management of Learning has received this prestigious seal; it has been amongst the guide’s Top Rated Programmes for seven consecutive years. The Top Rated Programme quality seal is given to programmes that have exceptionally high student satisfaction and expert evaluation scores. It means that Management of Learning is not just the best Dutch programme in its field, but it is also consistently amongst the best programmes in the country – even when compared to programmes in other disciplines.

  • Management of Learning is 1st in its category in the national Keuzegids ranking

    The master's programme in Management of Learning is ranked 1st in the Pedagogy and Education: Education Science category of the 2018 Keuzegids. It is also one of the most highly ranked master's programmes, in any field, nationwide.

    The Keuzegids Masters offers rankings of all master’s programmes in the Netherlands. These rankings are based on the results from the Dutch National Student Survey, combined with expert evaluations. The Keuzegids is published annually by the Dutch Higher Education Information Centre. It is an independent publication that allows you to compare all accredited master’s programmes in the Netherlands.

  • 90% of students recommend this programme

    90% of students in the MSc in Management of Learning are (very) satisfied with the examination system, according to the Elsevier ‘Best Studies’ 2017 guide.

    The Elsevier Best Studies Guide is published once a year by the Dutch magazine Elsevier. It contains student evaluations of each programme's education, contact hours, facilities, structure, instructors and assessment methods, as well as its organisation and communication. The guide is largely based on the results of the Dutch National Student Survey. 

    Here are some of the highlights from the Management of Learning programme:

    • 90% of students recommend this programme
    • 90% are (very) satisfied with the examination system
    • 82% of students are (very) satisfied with the quality of instruction

  • UM is the fifth best young university in the world

    Maastricht University is placed fifth place in the 2018 Times Higher Education (THE) '200 Under 50' ranking for best young universities in the world. UM is proud to have its continued efforts, for example toward internationalisation, affirmed in this THE ranking. UM also scores a top 10 position (with 7th place) in the 2016 QS ‘Top 50 under 50’; ranking highest of all European universities. These special rankings for young universities are published to give an indication as to which universities are expected in the future to become the top universities worldwide.
