Daphné is from France and has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from a private school in Paris.
“During my bachelor’s I travelled a lot to discover new places and meet new people. I wanted to improve my English and German and decided to study in an international environment. As I have always been interested in Europe and the European Union, I started researching master’s programmes in this field. When I came across this particular 2-year research master’s at Maastricht University, I went to the Master’s Open Day. After talking to the programme director, I knew this master’s was exactly what I wanted.
This research master provides you with a profound knowledge in research methods, looking at all the dimensions of Europe and the EU, such as historical, political and social. It’s a very small-scale programme with highly dedicated professors. The quality of the programme is excellent and you have all the available resources you need to be successful as a student. Since I chose ‘Europe and the world’ as my specialisation, I am thinking of doing an internship in my second year, maybe in a European institution.”
