UCM has been ranked as the #1 Liberal Arts and Sciences programme in the Dutch University Guide: Keuzegids 2019 with a score of 88 points making it a top rated programme.

The Keuzegids Universiteiten offers rankings of all bachelor’s programmes in the Netherlands. These rankings are based on the results from the Dutch National Student Survey, combined with expert evaluations. The Keuzegids Universiteiten is published annually by the Dutch Higher Education Information Centre. It is an independent publication that allows you to compare all accredited bachelor’s programmes in the Netherlands.

UCM is the highest rated Liberal Arts and Sciences programme in the Netherlands
Elsevier ‘Best Studies’ 2018 has ranked University College Maastricht (UCM) as the best Liberal Arts and Sciences programme in the Netherlands.
UCM received a score of 80%, making it the highest rated University College in the country. The students particularly praised the teaching staff, the facilities and the organisation of education.
- 90% of students indicated they would recommend the programme to their friends
- 88% of students indicated they are (very) happy with their teachers
- 79% of students indicated they are (very) happy with the organisation of education
The Elsevier Best Studies Guide is published once a year by the Dutch magazine Elsevier. It contains student evaluations of each programme's education, contact hours, facilities, structure, instructors and assessment methods, as well as its organisation and communication. The guide is largely based on the results of the Dutch National Student Survey.
