CARIM School for Cardiovascular Diseases
CARIM is a School for Cardiovascular Diseases in Maastricht, The Netherlands. It employs 250 researchers from 15 disciplines, covering a large variety of expertise: ranging from fundamental research in biochemistry and molecular cell biology to pure clinical research in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.
It is the home of approximately 120 PhD students and 50 technical support staff members. Together they are unraveling the mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases.
Cardiovascular scientists from around the world join CARIM because it values open communication, close cooperation, high ambitions, good facilities and a critical learning environment.
