Operations Research
Courses are provided by experienced lecturers and researchers of the Department of Knowledge Engineering. The programme emphasises topics relating to current PhD research, including:
- biomedical signal processing, de-noising and event detection with wavelets
- medical image (or video) analysis and image registration
- network formation, network maintenance and cost sharing
- production planning and scheduling, supply chain management
- polynomial optimisation with nD-systems, identity-value solvers and parallel computation
- sparse network estimation with applications in genetics and bio-informatics
- modelling and analysis of electrophysiological wave propagation on cardiac walls
- data mining and pattern recognition in mobile telecommunications data bases
- new developments in evolutionary game theory
- mathematical simulation of dynamical systems and bifurcation behaviour
Operations Research is a two-year master’s programme taught entirely in English.
