Psychology
The Master of Science in Psychology is offered by Maastricht University’s Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience. It is a challenging programme that prepares students for a professional career in one of the emerging fields of biological and cognitive psychology. The programme is research-driven. This means the content of the programme provides:
- state of the art overviews of international research findings in the field
- ample opportunities for students to get in contact with current research
- training in research methodologies
- the opportunity to conduct a practical internship, which will provide the material for your master's thesis
All of the programmes’s academic staff teach and are involved in research, and the faculty has excellent research facilities. This gives students practical insight into research as well as experience in using the latest research equipment.
Problem-Based Learning and student centred learning are the key teaching methods of the programme. Both methods use small groups that promote discussion and debate as well as facilitate interaction between the academic staff and students.
This one-year programme is taught in English. Graduates will receive a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Psychology.
