Elisabeth Strouven scholarship

Who is eligible?
The Elisabeth Strouven foundation provides a scholarship for talented Master students.
Applicants have to be admitted to one of the Master’s programmes of the Faculty of Health Sciences starting in September 2010. 

 
Candidates must have met all the requirements of the application procedure. The scholarship is meant to be a contribution in the livings expenses for a maximum period of 12 months. 
Applicants should hold a passport from an emerging country in South America, Africa and Asia. Also are Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey eligible countries.  

Applicants with a scientific background in health sciences, health care policy and innovation and chronic care are especially invited to reflect.
Applicants have to meet the requirements for obtaining a Dutch visa (’MVV’ – residence permit).

 

Amount of the scholarship
The Scholarship is meant to be a contribution in the living expenses for the duration of the Master’s programme at UM with a maximum of 12 months. The period of the scholarship starts and ends at the dates mentioned in the awarding letter.

Insurance with a maximum of 12 months €500 Arranged and paid by the Scholarship Office
Visa costs €438 Arranged and paid by the Scholarship Office

The faculty will proceed to a ranking based on quality. The Faculty Board will send its motivated selection to the Scholarship Office. This office will propose a candidate for the Elisabeth Strouven Scholarship according to the faculty ranking. The UM Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.  Applicants will be informed about the decision in writing around mid-May.
