Advanced Master in International and European Economic Law IEEL

IEEL is evolving!

For many years, the MIC programme and its successor the Advanced Master in International and European Economic Law (IEEL) have attracted ambitious and motivated students aiming at a global career in international economic law. Our alumni occupy leading positions in prestigious public or private international institutions while others have started a promising academic career.

Now the IEEL is evolving! In order to streamline the master programmes of the Faculty of Law, the Faculty is aiming at offering the IEEL a place in the Master Globalisation and Law (GAL). The current advanced master will evolve into a 60 ECTS track within the Master Globalisation and Law where on the one hand it enriches the master GAL with the typical IEEL profile and on the other hand benefits from courses exclusively offered in the GAL master such as Corporate Social Responsibility. The decision making process for the reform will start in December and will be finalised in March.

We will keep you posted!

The IEEL programme is a fully accredited programme and the successor to the renowned Magister Iuris Communis (MIC). The programme attracts ambitious and demanding students from both inside and outside the European Union. This mix of nationalities adds to the programme’s distinct international flavour. The programme is designed for students who wish to gain the specialised knowledge and skills needed to pursue an international career in economic law in either the private or the public sector.
