Econometrics and Operations Research
In the age of global economy, a deep understanding of economic and business systems is essential. The Econometrics and Operations Research programme is for students who want use statistics, mathematics and computer science to solve economic and finance problems and improve business efficiency.
As a student in the Econometrics and Operations Research programme, you will create mathematical models of economic and business problems. Working in small tutorial groups, you will apply those models to competition, the stock market, investment, inflation, unemployment, logistics, scheduling and production output. You will also gain practical experience by working on research programmes for the department throughout your studies.
Econometrics and Operations Research is a three-year programme taught in English.
Triple Crown accreditation
The Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE), which runs the Econometrics programme, has acquired the “triple crown” of international accreditation, from the European EQUIS, the American AASCB and from the prestigious AMBA, making it one of 28 business schools out of 3900 to achieve this.
