Honorary doctorate for Prof. Geert Hofstede

The University of Pécs, Hungary, one of the oldest in Europe (founded 1367), has granted Professor Geert Hofstede the title of Doctor Honoris Causa. The ceremony will be held on 15 October 2009. Hofstede is Professor Emeritus of Organizational Anthropology and International Management at Maastricht University. Pécs will be one of three Cultural Capitals of Europe in 2010. Hofstede has received honorary doctorates at Nyenrode, Sofia, Athens, Gothenburg, Liège and Vilnius.
