Metis
What is Metis?
Metis is the Maastricht University research information and registration system, designed to register data about research and the individuals or groups carrying it out within our university. Faculties can file research, its input and results systematically and consistently, and present the data to the public.
Metis also supports research management and research strategy, and can be used by all target groups to generate research reports for internal as well as external use (e.g. government, NWO, research evaluators).
In addition, Metis is the main resource for institutional repositories accessible via Narcis, the portal for Dutch science information.
Modules
Metis consists of various modules, the most import being Data Entry and Control (DE&C) and Personal Metis. DE&C is a management module for recording project data, information about the hours spent and so on. Personal Metis is an upload module for individual researchers to register their own publications.
Management
The Maastricht University Library owns and manages the Metis system. The ICT-Servicentre is responsible for its technical management.
