Alumni
Membership of Maastricht University Library is necessary to get access to serveral library services.
For €36.50 per year, you will receive a UM card which is activated as a library card and – and as an extra service for alumni – contains a free credit for 100 copies/prints.
How to obtain a UM card?
Proof of identity
At the information desk you need to identify yourself as an alumnus by logging on to Alumninet. You also need to show a valid identity card.
- This desk is located on the ground floor of the Inner City Library and at level 1 in the Randwyck Library. Opening hours information desk:
- Monday to Friday 8.30 - 17.00
- Saturday (only Inner City Library): 11.00 - 14.00.

Statement
When you apply for a UM card, we ask you to sign a statement that says that you agree to the conditions of private use (this statement is not applicable for owners of a 'business' pass; see below for information on the business pass).
UM membership card validity
Your UM membership card is valid for one year from the date that you sign up. This period will not be automatically extended. However, you can arrange an extension personally at the information desk.
