Open URL - Engels, attachment EndNote

From EndNote it is possible to search directly for an article’s full text through the SFX server. The system then searches all available open-access journals as well as electronic journals that UM subscribes to.

To use this function you must first enter the URL of the SFX server in EndNote. To do so,

  • click on 'Edit' > 'Preferences' > 'OpenURL'
  • tick the box 'Enable OpenURL' 
  • in the box 'OpenURL path', type this URL:

    http://sfx.unimaas.nl:9003/sfx_local

  • replace the content of the box 'Arguments' by:
    ?sid=ISI:WoS&aufirst=AUFIRST&aulast=AULAST&issn=ISSN&atitle=ATITLE&
    title=TITLE&volume=VOLUME&issue=ISSUE&date=DATE&
    spage=SPAGE&epage=EPAGE
  • click on OK.


Then, to search for the full text of an article from an EndNote record, first open the record. In the menu, click on ‘References’ > ‘OpenURL link’. The SFX menu will open. This should help you in your search for an available version of the full text.
