Copies of illustrations from the library collection

The services of the library include the possibility to have photographic copies made from illustrations in books or journals in the library collections, for instance for publication in print or on a website. Océ Business Services (OBS) (this link / information on designing is only available in Dutch), will carry out your order, deliver the photograph to you and invoice you directly. OBS can also give you advice and information on the possibilities, which include a traditional negative, a photographic print or a slide; size, resolution etc.

Orders should be placed with the library (e-mail). Any requests for books printed after 1900 will generally be accepted automatically. In case of older books, in particular early editions (printed before 1800) or books that are in a bad condition, the curator will be consulted first. In case of more recent books you should check the copyright on the illustration.
