Business & Economics collection

The Maastricht University Library has been accumulating resources for its business and economics  collection since 1983. Housed in the Inner City Library, the collection consists of two parts:

  • an education collection in the learning and resource centre
  • a collection primarily related to the Maastricht University School of Business & Economics research and master’s programmes (list of acquisitions).

Consisting of curriculum-related books and other resources (with several copies of each title), the learning and resource centre collection is not for loan.

The research collection consists of books that are for loan, and journals as well as reference and bibliographical works that you can only use in the library.

A large part of the collection (including statistical and financial data) is available in electronic form (eLibrary).

Less current literature (old editions of books, journal issues etc.) is available in the closed stacks and can be requested at the document supply desk.

The collection reflects the faculty’s research, which is clustered around various themes:

  1. Marketing & Supply Chain Management
  2. Accounting and Information Management
  3. Technology, Innovation and Industrial Dynamics
  4. The Development and Utilization of Human Resources
  5. Economic Theory, Behavior, and Computing
  6. Econometrics, Finance and Monetary Economics

The library’s Jesuit collection also includes several seminal economics works from previous centuries. Go to the 'Jesuit collection' homepage.
