Cycling events
Just for fun or as training target: cycling events are for many cyclists the highlight of the season. UM Cycling contributes by organizing nice training rides and coordinating Maastricht University Teams which participate in the best cycling events.

UM Cycling Tour ride: Thursday 6 June 2013
UM Cycling regularly organizes nice rides in the Maastricht region for UM-students, staff and alumni. The next Tour Ride will take place on Thursday June 6 2013. All UM-students, employees and alumni with a properly functioning race bike are welcome to join the fun. We ride socially and friendly, we leave and return together.
This time our guides will be collegues Charlie Bonnemayer and Jean-Paul Beusen. Inspired by the Volta Limburg Classic (a pro race) they have thought of a nice round over the hills of Limburg and Belgium.
Note:
- The average speed is about 25 km/h. Uphill everyone can ride the pace they like.
- We'll split the group if there are enough participants.
- Make sure you're well prepared! Dress for the wheather. Bring food and water/sports drink for along the way, a spare tire, money, a telephone and wear a helmet (!). Also make sure to have enough pressure in your tires before you start (7-8 bar)!
When: Tuesday 6 June 2013, 18.30 hrs.
Distance: +/- 60-70 km
Starting location: the square in front of Universiteitssingel 40.
Price: There are no costs involved with participation.
