Fitness/Gym membership

Fitness/Gym membership, Fitness/Gym Licence and price list ‘12-‘13
To use the fitness equipment at Sports Centre Randwyck, you need the UM SPORT Fitness/Gym Licence.

  • Fitness/Gym membership:
unlimited access to the gym and device.
Note, without the Sports membership, the licence gives access to the gym only and gives no right to join the walk-in, sign-up, course or punch card activities.
  • Fitness/Gym Licence if you have a Sports membership:
unlimited access to the gym with Fitness/Gym Licence reduced fee. Besides, access to all ‘walk-in’ and 'sign-up' activities.
All memberships follow the same system: a membership for the entire (or remainder of) the academic year (starts at one of the terms of purchase and ends always August 31) or a licence for 4 months (starts always on a term of purchase and ends 4 months later). The rate of the licence depends on the month in which you start, the length of membership and the member category.

Fitness/Gym Introduction Class
New fitness members are obliged to take a ‘once-only’ introduction class. During this introduction class you will learn how to use the equipment and the 'gym etiquette' will be explained. After this class you can buy the Fitness/Gym Licence at the UM SPORT web shop or at the desk. Once you have had a Fitness/Gym Licence, you just need to renew it every year.

For this Fitness introduction class you have to sign-up and pay €5 at the desk or at the UM SPORT web shop. Dates and times of the fitness introduction classes are mentioned under 'Overview actual sports programme' -> Fitness introduction. Bring along your sportswear and a towel.

Coached hours, ‘fit test’ and ‘sport test’
During the coached hours an instructor can help you for more support on your fitness training or to make a personal exercise programme to reach your goals.
A short ‘fit test’ will determine your blood pressure an body composition. It is included in your licence.

The ‘Sport test’ however, will determine (besides blood pressure and body composition) your endurance, strength and flexibility as well. You will receive a personal report and advice. You have to sign up for this sport test at the desk and make an appointment with the instructor in the fitness/gym.
