UCM Scholarship
University College Maastricht (UCM) will give financial support to five highly qualified non-EU students who will be invited to enroll at UCM.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must be accepted to the Liberal Arts & Sciences program of UCM and must come from a country outside the EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining a Dutch visa (‘MVV’ residence permit).
Fees
This scholarship will be used to reduce the non-EU tuition fee (€ 8500) to the EU tuition fee (€ 1771) for the duration of the UCM program (three consecutive years).
Application & selection
In order to apply for this scholarship, applicants must indicate so in the section 'Additional information' on the online adobe application form (in My UM). Furthermore, applicants must fill out the application form and send in the requested annexes as mentioned in the form. You can download the application form here. After the application deadline of April 1st, 2012 the UCM Board of Admissions will decide which candidates will be granted the scholarship. Applicants will be informed about the decision in writing.
UCM Mosaic Scholarship
Maastricht University (UM) aims to further strengthen its position as a leading European university offering high-quality education with an international orientation. To this end, the university implements a proactive recruitment policy for international students. Within this framework, scholarships are made available by the UM Scholarship Fund with the aim of encouraging talented students from outside the EEA to follow the Liberal Arts & Sciences program at University College Maastricht: the UCM Mosaic Scholarship.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must be accepted to the Liberal Arts & Sciences program of UCM and may be no older than 35 years at the start of the academic year (3 September 2012). Applicants must come from a country outside the EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining a Dutch visa (‘MVV’ residence permit).
Fees
The scholarship will be used to refund the tuition fee (€ 8500) for the duration of the UCM program (three consecutive years). This will be arranged and paid by the Scholarship Office.
Application & selection
In order to apply for this scholarship, please download the application form. Applications have to be sent in by March 15th, 2012 to the UCM contact person of this scholarship. Email: ucm-admissions@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
UCM will rank the candidates based on quality and the UCM Board of Admissions will send its selection to the Scholarship Office. This office will then propose a candidate according to the ranking. The UM Scholarship Committee will make the final decision. Applicants will be informed about the decision in writing.
In making its assessment, the UM Scholarship Committee takes all elements of the application into account, including the level of previous study programs, average grades, duration of the program, content and originality of the study plan, motivation, status of the foreign institution, the connection with the prior program, future plans, the proposal and the references.
