Liberal Arts Program
University College Maastricht is the international broad bachelor program of Maastricht University. The College started in September 2002 to give students liberal arts education in English.
University College Maastricht is the liberal arts program of Maastricht University. Maastricht University is the youngest university in the Netherlands (founded in 1976) and currently has about 12,000 students and more than 3,000 employees.
The university has 6 faculties:
- Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
- School of Business and Economics
- Faculty of Humanities and Sciences
- Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience
University College Maastricht is one of the departments of the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences. Together all six faculties offer a wide a range of bachelor, master and postgraduate programs. Maastricht University has two unique features: it was the first Dutch institution to adopt the problem-based learning method in all of its educational programs and the vast majority of all UM educational programs have a strong international perspective.
