Programme

The two-week training will be offered three times:

Dakar (Senegal): 31 May to 11 June 2010 (in French)
Accra (Ghana): 20 September to 1 October 2010 (in English)
Douala (Cameroon): 29 November to 10 December 2010 (in French)

Each course will be two weeks long, and will be residential. Participants from host countries are also expected to attend on a residential basis.

Evidence on impact
Political economy and institutional feasibility
Poverty analysis
Financing and budgeting of social transfers
Designing social transfers
Targeting
Conditionalities
Benefit levels
Monitoring and evaluation
Exit strategies and graduation from programs
Regional experience

Course Programme for Douala, 29 November to 10 December, 2010

The course will end with an assessment exercise. Participants who attend the entire course and complete the assessment to a satisfactory standard will receive an official certificate from the University of Maastricht.
