Exchange programmes

Exchange Students
As a Knowledge Engineering student you will experience the enrichment of an international study environment. Complimenting this enrichment is the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at a university outside the Netherlands. DKE offers its Bachelor and Master students the option to spend a semester abroad. For the Bachelor students this is the 5th semester (the first semester of the third year of the programme) and for the Master students this is the first semester of the 2nd year of the programme. However, the semester abroad is not mandatory. Conditions and details of a semester abroad can be found in the “the Department of Knowledge Engineering Semester Abroad Guide”, which DKE students can find in the electronic learning environment.

DKE is setting up student exchange programs with universities all over the world. At this moment, (July 2008) students can choose from Denmark, Iceland, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA and Australia.

Information for students who wish to study at DKE as an exchange student
Students who would like to spend a semester at DKE as an exchange student should contact their own university’s international office to find out whether they have an exchange agreement with DKE. If your university has an exchange agreement with DKE and you want to apply for a semester at DKE, please email us.
