ISAM
Maastricht’s Indian community is growing steadily. Students and staff members of Maastricht University, together with other Indian nationals who work and live in Limburg, have started a platform for the dissemination of Indian culture amongst anyone who is open to learn more about the colour, fragrance and beauty of India.
ISAM started in 2008 and has organized events such as Indian Republic Day, Holi and Diwali, attended by participants from Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australia, ranging from 5 to 76 years. ISAM aims to mingle with the various (inter)national communities in Maastricht, by liaising with the Maastricht University India country team, encouraging our members to participate in presentation stages such as Pecha Kucha, write for the expat magazine Crossroads, or simply enjoy the plethora of Dutch festivals.
