Higher Education and Globalization

A direct result of the ongoing Edulink project "African Universities develop strategies addressing the implications of globalization", this book is a compilation of articles covering a series of themes all linked to higher education in sub-Saharan Africa. From describing the current situation to delving into the challenges posed by globalization, this initiative, a collaboration between several higher education experts, offers an excellent insight into higher education in this African region.

University strategies

'The objective of the initiative has been to enhance the capacity of African universities to develop strategies that will deliver graduates equipped to tap global knowledge resources and adapt and apply what they have learned in support of local and regional development. In supporting the eight participating universities to develop their strategies, it is our hope that the underlying insights, the available evidence and the emerging expertise for well informed strategic decision making will help them anticipate, manage, explore and exploit the processes of globalization.'
