Special employee offers
UM staff are entitled to join any of the Language Centre’s language and culture courses. The Dutch and English courses cover all skill areas, from grammar and speaking to academic writing, as well as themes such as medical and scientific language. We also offer courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
Some courses are specifically geared to UM staff, such as Dutch courses for expats who have relocated to Limburg for work purposes, and Cambridge courses which prepare you for the internationally recognised Cambridge exams in English. As an employee, you may be entitled to take part in these courses for free (see LO-funded courses for more information). There is also the option of individual coaching in writing or presentations in either Dutch or English.
