Intensive Summer/Winter Course (NL-13)


What will I learn in this course?

In this beginner's course, you learn to communicate in Dutch on a very basic level. The focus of the course is on speaking and listening. In the homework, some training of your reading and writing skills is included. The end level of the course is level A1 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for languages).

How long does the course take?
The course lasts for two weeks.

How many classes will I have?
You will have 10 classes. There will be 5 classes per week (each day, from Monday to Friday). Each class will be 3 hours.

How much time do I need for my homework?
On average, you will need 3 hours per class for your homework.

How many people will be in my group?
There will be between 8 and 14 people in your group.

Which books do I need?
You need the book Nederlands in gang by De Boer and others (ISBN: 978 90 46 90 22 57). Normally, the Study Store (Maastricht, inner city) has this book in stock. Of course, you can also buy the book on the internet.

(For students only:) Do I get ECTS?
If you pass the tests, you will get 3 ECTS.
