Route description

By car


coming from the north, motorway A2/E25

  • turn right at the first crossroads, towards Hasselt/Centrum
  • cross the bridge, heading towards Hasselt
  • at the crossroads, head towards Hasselt/Tongeren/Luik
  • at the roundabout, head towards Tongeren/Luik
  • at the next traffic light, turn left towards the carpark underneath the main Vrijthof square
  • the carpark is just a few minutes' walk from the Language Centre. Go past the red church and turn left once you’re up on Hendrik van Veldekeplein. This street is St Servaasklooster; the Language Centre is about 50m down the street on your right.

coming from the south, motorway A2/E25
  • on approaching Maastricht, follow the signs to Centrum (N278)
  • cross the bridge and at the traffic lights go straight ahead
  • at the roundabout, go straight ahead
  • at the next traffic light, turn left towards the carpark underneath the main Vrijthof square
  • the carpark is just a few minutes' walk from the Language Centre. Go past the red church and turn left once you’re up on Hendrik van Veldekeplein. This street is St Servaasklooster; the Language Centre is about 50m down the street on your right.

By train


Trains from the rest of the Netherlands as well as from Belgium stop in Maastricht at frequent intervals. From the central station you can walk or take a bus to the city centre.

From the train station


on foot (15–20 mins)
  • with your back to the station, walk straight ahead towards the city centre and cross the old (Servaas) bridge
  • continue in the same direction, crisscrossing through the shopping area until you reach the main Vrijthof square
  • pass the red church on left or right and turn left once you’re up on Hendrik van Veldekeplein
  • this street is St Servaasklooster; the Language Centre is about 50m down the street on your right.

by bus

  • take bus 3, 4 or 53
  • get off at the first bus stop after the main Vrijthof square, in Bouillonstraat
  • walk back up the street a few metres and turn left immediately into St Servaasklooster
  • after about 30m, you will find the Language Centre on your left (at number 32).
