Insurance

It is vital that you have sufficient health care, travel and liability insurance during your stay abroad. Please check with your home university and/or insurance company whether you will be covered during your stay in Maastricht.

Health care insurance

The Dutch government requires each (temporary) resident, that will be you :), to have adequate health care insurance. Please check in the table below which type of health care insurance you need.

Insurance

CES can assist you if necessary in obtaining health care, travel and liability insurance. The insurance company we recommend is IPS Lippmann. We recommend our students to sign up for IPS Primary insurance with additional winter and underwatersport cover.

Please note that you should apply for insurance before you leave your home country.

Overview of costs

The costs for IPS Insurance are reasonable. The minimum premium is the premium for 1 full month. All premium and costs include the insurance tax due. If you need assistance to apply for insurance, please contact your programme coordinator.
