Lots of opportunities

“I chose to study Psychology because of my interest in human behaviour and because I wanted to know why people do what they do. The most important reason for me to choose Maastricht University is because of the modern character of the university buildings, the research-oriented programme, the atmosphere of the vibrant university town of Maastricht and especially Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Because of PBL, I actively and regularly spend time engaged in subject matter. Working in small groups personalises the programme and allows you to have a lot of contact with your fellow students and teachers.

Apart from your theoretic courses, you'll be taking skills courses all year, during which you'll learn to present, write essays, conduct research and much more. In addition to developing a lot of knowledge, I also gain a lot of skills that I can apply later in a psychological field of action.
Next to my study, I'm also a member of student association Luna-tik and the student section of the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists. In this way, the University and Maastricht offer many other opportunities for personal development. Psychology in Maastricht: my place to be for development and ambition!”
