Diet Researchers in De Psycholoog

De Psycholoog, the journal of the Dutch Association of Psychologists (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen, NIP), has published an article by Carolien Martijn, Jessica Alleva and Anita Jansen (diet research). The article titled ‘Help, ik ben zo lelijk!’ (Help, I'm so ugly!) is part of a larger question that was asked in this issue of De Psycholoog. The journal examines the effectiveness of interventions and programmes to change body dissatisfaction. Therein, the central question that the diet researchers posed was: ‘What is your body capable of?’ Instead of ‘what does your body look like?’
