2012 Master’s Choice Guide: 7 master programmes in first place
26 April 2012
Just like last year, Maastricht University is the highest-scoring general university according to the 2012 Master’s Choice Guide (‘Keuzegids’) which appears today. In the ranking of best universities, Maastricht scored a fourth place, after the Open University, Wageningen University and Nijenrode. Of the 34 evaluated UM Master’s programmes, seven gained a first place within their categories: Management of Learning; Cultures of Arts, Science and Technology (CAST); International Business; Forensic Psychology; Arts-Klinisch Onderzoeker (Physician-Clinical Investigator); Medicine and Global Health.
The good assessment of Maastricht University’s master programmes is consistent and for a few programmes even better than last year. Rector Magnificus Gerard Mols: “This Choice Guide shows again that our investment in talent and small-scale education pays off. Maastricht University is constantly innovating its education and this will be one of our priorities for the coming years.”
The 2012 Choice Guide contains assessments of 800 programmes, based on students’ opinions and accreditation data. Just like the other Choice Guides, the Master’s Choice Guide is published by the Centre for Higher Education Information (C.H.O.I.) in Leiden, which stemmed from the Higher Education Press Office. The publisher and editorial team are entirely independent. Copies can be purchased in the shop, or can be ordered via www.keuzegids.org.
